This is an excellent alternative to brick garden fireplaces, which often can crack in winter - this fireplace does not have that problem. Besides the ability to prepare meals and stay warm during evening gatherings on the terrace or in the garden, our fireplace also serves as a perfect complement to garden architecture. We have added to our offer a fireplace made of corten steel, which is popular in the West and only now being discovered here. A great example of the use of this steel is the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk.

What is COR-TEN®?
First and foremost - it is not rust. COR-TEN® is a steel with increased resistance to atmospheric conditions. This resistance is achieved thanks to a layer of oxides - "patina", which forms on the surface of the sheet. With such a protective layer, there is no need to cover the fire pit with any paint. The patina is so dense that it practically does not allow oxygen to pass through. Over time, under the influence of atmospheric conditions, the patina darkens and creates an original and elegant coating, which, in addition to protective properties, also gives an interesting architectural value in your garden.
Process of Patina Formation
The normal process of patina formation on the surface of the sheet lasts from 18 to 36 months, but it can be significantly accelerated by alternating wetting and drying of the fire pit.
CORNER COR-TEN® Fire Pit
The client receives the fire pit at a stage where the protective coating process has not yet begun. The fire pit looks like it is made from "bare" sheet metal.
